The Secret’s Out…

On Thursday 27th April a group of diners met on the 12th floor of the Owen Building, Sheffield Hallam University for the first ever Secret Dinner Society. They didn’t know what they would be eating or where they would be eating it….

On the night the diners were lead to the surprise location – the chef’s table! Tables were set up around the super impressive development kitchen at SHU so everyone could have a view point of the action and the immense views of Park Hill and the city.

Executive Head Chef of Sheffield Hallam University, Darren Proctor, produced a mind blowing 5 course menu of delicious meals for the lucky guests. Starting with a beetroot and apple soup, asparagus panna cotta with fennel and lemon foam and parmesan, pan fried chicken breast and a hot cross bun pudding with marmalade ice cream all followed by coffee and petit fours.

Pan fried chicken breast with rolled chicken thigh stuffed with apricot, parsnip purée and spring onion.
